Police: Three-Alarm Barn Fire Intentionally Set

(Portland, OR)  --  Police say a three-alarm fire that burned a barn in Salem was intentionally set.  Firefighters responded to the area of Ward Drive Northeast and Fisher Road Northeast early yesterday morning for a house fire.  When firefighters arrived, they found a second, separate fire at a nearby barn, prompting a response from eight fire engines and 33 firefighters.  No injuries have been reported.  Police say transients have been known to squat in the barn.
