(Portland, OR)  --  An Oregon State University student is hospitalized after jumping from his fifth-floor dorm room during an incident of what authorities are calling "significant emotional distress."  School authorities evacuated the fifth floor of Hawley Hall last night while specialized officers with Oregon State Police tried to communicate with the student.  School officials say the student pulled the fire alarm before starting a fire in his room and then jumping from his window.  Authorities say there's no indication that he had a weapon, but that he did make some generalized threats.
