Madras Fire Deemed Arson

MADRAS, OR -- A weekend fire that heavily damaged a Madras law office is now being investigated as arson. Madras Police were dispatched to the blaze at 5th and "D" Street, Saturday evening, along with the Jefferson County Fire. The first units on scene found smoke and flames coming from the first floor of the Law Office of Glenn, Reeder and Gassner. There were no injuries. 

 

The fire was deemed suspicious and a State Police Arson Investigator was called in to assist Madras PD with the investigation. OSP and MPD continue to work together and ask that anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around 6:30 p.m., May 25, to call Officer Josh Roth at the Madras Police Department (541-475-2424).

 

Glenn, Reeder and Gassner is in the process of moving in to a temporary office space in downtown Madras.
