(Portland, OR)  --  Encounters between people and wild animals around Portland is higher this time of year.  Oregon wildlife officials say animals such as bears and cougars come to populated areas to hunt for food.  Officials say people should call 9-1-1 immediately if they spot a wild animal in their neighborhood.
