Oregon credit unions are counting up the new members from Saturday’s National Bank Transfer Day protest. Credit Union Association spokesman Rick Metzger says he's heard reports of customers literally lined up around the block at a credit union on Hawthorne. He doesn't know how many pulled their accounts from big banks. Metzger says that people want their money working in their own communities.
