Portland Man Drowns During Fishing Trip

(Troutdale, OR)  --  Officials say a Portland man who drowned during a fishing trip in Troutdale wasn't wearing a life jacket.  The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Birtha Subba was fishing with his brother-in-law along the banks of the Sandy River at Dabney State Park yesterday.  Deputies say Subba fell into the water and was swept upstream.  Subba was pulled from the river by a passerby, but efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
