Fruit Recall Affects Costco, Trader Joe's, Walmart Stores

(Portland, OR)  --  Stone-fruit that's sold at Trader Joe's, Costco, Kroger, and Walmart stores is being recalled.  The voluntary recall by California-based Wawona Packing Company involves peaches, nectarines, plums, and pluots.  The FDA says internal testing conducted by Wawona revealed potential Listeria contamination, though subsequent tests have turned up negative.  All recalled products were packed at warehouses between July 1st and 12th.
