Inslee To Appeal Federal Aid Decision

(Olympia, WA)  --  Washington Governor Jay Inslee says he plans to appeal the federal government's decision to deny the state's request for individual emergency assistance to homeowners affected by wildfires.  The state has 30 days to file the appeal.  Inslee made the remarks a day after the Obama administration approved Inslee's request for federal assistance for Okanogan County and the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation.  The county and the confederated tribes will be covered for 75 percent of eligible expenses for wildfire-damaged facilities.
