Man Facing Federal Charges After Hash-oil Explosion

(Tigard, OR)  --  A man is facing federal charges after being accused of igniting a fire in a Tigard parking lot while making butane hash oil.  Authorities say Dale Corzine of Irvine, California, has been indicted on one count of knowingly and intentionally creating a substantial risk of harm to human life.  Officials allege that Corzine ignited a blaze that destroyed his car and another vehicle and damaged three others at a TriMet park-and-ride lot in Tigard.  Prosecutors say Corzine was making the hash oil inside his car when the explosion took place on July 29th.
