Forest Grove Council Passes Marijuana Tax

(Forest Grove, OR)  --  Should Oregon voters approve the legalization of recreational marijuana use in November, the city of Forest Grove will be ready with a tax.  "The Oregonian" reports the City Council voted last night to okay a tax on recreational marijuana and marijuana-infused products.  Mayor Pete Truax asked the Council to remove a proposed tax on medical marijuana, and the Council agreed.  Forest Grove's ordinance is modeled on one passed in Happy Valley, and similar taxes are being considered in Hillsboro and Ashland.
