Ex-aide To Kitzhaber Says Questions About Hayes Got Her Fired

(Salem, OR)  --  A former aide to Governor John Kitzhaber says she was fired after raising questions about work in the governor's office being done by first lady Cylvia Hayes.  "The Oregonian" reports that Nkenge [[ nuh-KEN-gay ]] Harmon Johnson said she was dismissed after Hayes, who was her boss, became upset with her in July over a comment about Hayes's plans for a meeting with an Oregon business.  Johnson claims that she was told to resign because the governor had said the first lady felt Johnson couldn't be trusted.  A spokeswoman for Kitzhaber says Johnson "was let go because of job performance issues."
