(Salem, OR)  --  Jeff Merkley will remain Oregon's junior U.S. senator for another six years.  The Democratic incumbent has easily defeated Republican challenger Monica Wehby, 55 percent to 38 percent.  Wehby, who's a pediatric neurosurgeon, was unable to overcome some controversial issues, including allegations of stalking that were lodged by an ex-boyfriend.  This will be Merkley's second term in the Senate.
