(Portland, OR)  --  After about a year of squatting in a vacant home in Northeast Portland, a group of eight illegal residents is gone.  Police who arrived at the residence yesterday told KOIN-TV the house was in the worst shape they'd ever seen.  The boarded-up home, which has no electricity or water, was occupied by the squatters for months until the city was able to issue an eviction order.  The city has been unable to contact the owner of the home, who is reportedly in default on the loan.
