(Portland, OR)  --  The Hawthorne Bridge is working properly again after a lift-span malfunction forced its closure for several hours.  Officials say the lift-span got stuck around 10:40 yesterday morning.  The bridge was shut down while crews made mechanical repairs.  The bridge was opened again to traffic by about two p.m.
