(Salem, OR)  --  A member of the Salem Police Department's K-9 crew is safe.  Rex, a police narcotics-detection German Shepherd, was found yesterday afternoon after he escaped earlier in the day from his handler's residence.  A Good Samaritan found Rex on Titan Drive Northwest in Salem and contacted the police department.
