(Beaverton, OR)  --  A Beaverton man is in custody in connection with a hit-and-run that left an 82-year-old man seriously injured.  Police say Walter Wiese was picking up his mail Tuesday across the street from his home on Southwest Beef Bend Road, when he was hit by a Mazda 3 that immediately fled the scene.  Police say an anonymous tip led to the arrest last night of 42-year-old Joe Louis Davis.  Davis was booked into the Washington County Jail on a charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver.
