Lawmaker's Proposal Would Reduce Wood Stove Pollution

(Salem, OR)  --  Lawmakers want to help homeowners replace old, dirty wood stoves to reduce pollution.  Legislation introduced Monday could lead to incentives for homeowners to switch to new, cleaner wood stoves.  The state currently requires homeowners only replace old stoves when selling a property.  Studies show that wood smoke can cause health problems and is a major source of pollution.
