State Land Board Proposes Selling Elliott Forest

(Salem, OR)  --  The state land board is looking to sell Elliott State Forest.  Officials said Tuesday they want to sell the forest to another government agency or public-private partnership.  Selling the forest would end the state's arrangement to log it to generate money for public schools.  The state has come under fire from environmental groups who want the forest managed for conservation and recreation.
