>>Outages Still In Effect For Thousands

(Portland, OR)  --  Power outages caused by high winds that swept through the Northwest last night are still affecting thousands of customers in the Portland metro area.  Most of the outages are in Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Clark, and Marion counties.  The outages were reported after winds of 60 miles an hour and more swept through the Portland and Vancouver areas.  Portland General Electric, Clark Public Utilities, and Pacific Power crews are continuing to work on getting electricity restored throughout the region.
