(Hillsboro, OR)  --  Washington County sheriff's deputies are investigating, following a crash that killed a Hillsboro man.  Authorities say 68-year-old John Kern was trying to pass in a no-passing zone on Bald Peak Road yesterday morning when he clipped the vehicle as he re-entered the travel lane.  Deputies say Kern then lost control and left the roadway, and his vehicle went airborne after hitting a dirt embankment.  No one else was injured.
