Former Portland Mayor Headed To D.C.

(Portland, OR)  --  Former Portland Mayor Sam Adams is headed to the nation's capital.  Adams is leaving to become director of the U.S. Climate Initiatives at the World Resource Institute in Washington, D.C.  Adams has worked as executive director at the City Club of Portland since shortly after completing his term as mayor.  He says his new job will give him "a unique opportunity to help lead national efforts to combat climate change."
