(Portland, OR) -- The demand is outgrowing the supply, so the go-ahead is being given to bring more taxis to Portland. There are currently 460 cabs registered to operate in the city, and permits were approved yesterday to increase that number by as much as 60 percent. Dylan Rivera with the Portland Bureau of Transportation told KOIN-TV that the new taxis will be a great help, especially on weekend nights when demand for taxicabs is highest.
