(Salem, OR)  --  Secretary of State Kate Brown is continuing preparations to replace John Kitzhaber as governor.  Kitzhaber is scheduled to step down Wednesday after announcing his resignation Friday, in light of state and federal criminal investigations regarding the role of Kitzhaber's fiancee is his administration.  Brown mentioned nothing about the soon-to-be ex-governor Saturday, as she joined former Oregon governors Barbara Roberts and Ted Kulongoski for a celebration of the 156th anniversary of Oregon statehood.
