Bill Would Abolish Daylight Saving Time

(Salem, OR)  --  Daylight Saving Time is now in effect, and not everybody is happy with it.  An Oregon state senator is pushing a ballot measure asking voters to decide on whether to get rid of Daylight Saving Time.  If the measure passes, Standard Time would be the rule in Oregon year 'round, starting in 2021.  Senate Bill 99, sponsored by Senator Kim Thatcher, is slated for a hearing tomorrow by the Rules Committee.
