(Portland, OR)  --  Portland police have a man in custody after he was accused of trying to kidnap a two-year-old boy.  The suspect is identified as Matthew Lee Edwards, who police say tried to abduct the toddler Tuesday in the area of Northwest 23rd Avenue and Lovejoy Street.  Authorities say the boy was walking with his mother when the suspect walked up and pushed the mother to the ground, then tried to grab the boy.  The child was unhurt.  Matthews was booked for first-degree attempted kidnapping.
