Self-serve Gas Bill Advances

(Salem, OR)  --  A bill that would allow drivers traveling rural roads in Oregon to pump their own gas is advancing through the state Legislature.  A law against self-service gas stations has been on the books in Oregon for more than 60 years.  The House has passed a measure that would allow gas stations in rural sections of Oregon to remain open without having to employ someone to pump gas for customers.  The bill now moves to the Senate.
