(Washougal, WA) -- Portland police say an officer who was fired from the Bureau was found dead along railroad tracks in Washougal. Authorities say it appears Dale Reister was hit by a train, but other factors may have been involved. Reister was terminated in October 2013 after he fired a less-lethal beanbag shotgun at a suspect. The gun "inadvertently" contained lethal rounds and killed the suspect, William Monroe. An autopsy on Reister's body is being conducted.
