Bill Would Double Time Limit For Prosecuting Rape Cases

(Salem, OR)  --  A measure that would double the time limit in which officials can prosecute rape cases is headed to the governor's desk.  The Oregon State Senate gave the bill final legislative approval yesterday.  Under the bill, the statute of limitations for rape cases would be extended from six to 12 years.  Supporters of the bill say they'll push for a further extension during the 2016 legislative session.
