Bill Allowing Self-serve Gas Awaits Final Approval

(Salem, OR)  --  A bill that would allow self-service pumping at gas stations continues to advance in the Oregon Legislature.  The measure, which would allow self-service only in rural areas and only at night, has been approved by the Senate.  The bill will now head back to the House for concurrence on Senate changes.  Oregon and New Jersey are the only states that don't allow drivers to fill their gas tanks themselves.
