Bill Designed To Protect Personal Info Of K-12 Students

(Salem, OR)  --  A bill that's intended to protect personal information of K-through-12 students shared online is awaiting Governor Kate Brown's signature.  The Oregon Student Information Protection Act would prohibit operators of textbook websites and online services such as Google for Education from selling students' information or using it for targeted advertising.  The bill was requested by Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum.
