(Salem, OR)  --  A 16-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was hit by an SUV while riding his skateboard.  Salem police say Joseph Viellette was skateboarding Saturday night along Pringle Road Southeast, when he ran a red light at Madrona Avenue Southeast.  A vehicle heading through the intersection hit Viellette, causing life-threatening injuries.  The driver, 66-year-old Dennis Johnson, cooperated with the investigation.
