(Portland, OR)  --  Portland State University is planning on reducing its tuition increase.  University officials say a boost in funding just approved by the state legislature is making it possible.  They had proposed an increase of four-point-two-percent for Oregon undergrads to hire more advisers and faculty, and invest in more student support services.
