(Portland, OR)  --  The city of Portland is hoping to secure a federal grant that would enable it to add three full-time school resource officers.  The city is seeking 375-thousand-dollars from the Community Oriented Policing Services office of the U.S. Department of Justice.  The money would enable the Portland Police Bureau to keep the additional school resource officers on the job for three years.
