(Gresham, OR)  --  Gresham police say they have a man in custody after he bit an officer during his arrest.  Authorities say 23-year-old Elijah David Shelton is accused of trying to steal beer Wednesday night from a convenience store and punching the clerk when confronted.  Officials say the responding officer was bitten at least twice during a scuffle with Shelton.  The suspect is facing multiple charges.
