(Tigard, OR)  --  The Capital One call center in Tigard is slated to close by the end of this year.  Capital One says the center, which employs about 900 people, will close as part of the company's shifting of its call-center strategy to better meet customer needs.  Workers will get assistance in finding other jobs.  The call center is Tigard's biggest single employer.
