Brown Signs Bill Allowing Early Retail Pot Sales

(Salem, OR)  --  A bill that will allow sales of recreational marijuana in Oregon to people age 21 and older starting October 1st is now law.  Governor Kate Brown signed the measure yesterday, which will allow sales of recreational pot at medical marijuana dispensaries.  The Oregon Health Authority will oversee the early sales of pot, but the state Liquor Commission will be in charge of the full-scale recreational marijuana market starting in October 2016.
