(Portland, OR)  --  A memorial service is scheduled for longtime children's entertainer Jim Allen, also known as "Rusty Nails."  Allen died yesterday morning at age 87 after being in hospice care with congestive heart failure.  He spent years on Portland television as Rusty Nails starting in 1957, and made numerous personal appearances as the beloved clown for decades after the show went off the air.  A memorial tribute to Allen will be held on August 13th at Beaverton Foursquare Church on Southwest Walker Road, beginning at one p.m.
