(Portland, OR)  --  The price of gasoline in the Portland area is about the same as yesterday.  Triple-A reports the average for regular is three-eleven a gallon, which is a penny cheaper than a week ago.  Tomorrow, fuel prices north of the Columbia River will be more expensive, as a seven-cents-per-gallon increase in Washington's state gas tax will take effect.
