(Cowlitz County, WA)  --  Officials say a man who drowned in the Toutle River while saving his young son was from Toledo, Washington.  Authorities say 35-year-old Benjamin A. Brooks grabbed his son, who began struggling while swimming yesterday with the family near milepost 19 of the Spirit Lake Memorial Highway, and was pulling him back to the bank of the river.  Brooks vanished under the surface and didn't reappear.  Officials say he was underwater for about a half-hour before his body was recovered by emergency crews.
