Judge Orders Hayes To Turn Over Emails

(Salem, OR)  --  The fiancee of former Governor John Kitzhaber is being ordered to turn over emails having to do with state business.  A Marion County Circuit Court judge ruled that Cylvia Hayes was a public servant at the time she served as an unpaid policy adviser to Kitzhaber, and the emails are considered part of the public record.  The "Portland Tribune" reports Judge Tracy Prall has given Hayes 14 days to provide copies of her emails to the court.  In April, Governor Kate Brown's office released 94-thousand emails between Hayes and Kitzhaber administration staff members.
