(Salem, OR)  --  Another 250 National Guard troops will begin training this week to assist in firefighting efforts across Oregon.  Governor Kate Brown announced the action Saturday after activating 125 Guard members earlier last week.  Most of the Willamette Valley and Columbia Gorge are under a thick haze from winds blowing smoke from the wildfires.  The haze is expected to linger through today, and people with respiratory issues are urged to stay indoors.
