(Marysville, WA) -- The state of Washington is in need of qualified 911 dispatchers. The Washington State Patrol says a shortage of operators is leading to longer wait times for those in need. Trooper Mark Francis told Q-13 that WSP is actively recruiting qualified dispatchers, with candidates required to pass a thorough background check and a polygraph test.
