(Portland, OR)  --  Police are investigating a crash that left a woman dead in Northeast Portland.  Authorities say the woman lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a tree around ten o'clock last night in the five-thousand block of Northeast Mallory Avenue.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her name hasn't been released.
