(Washougal, WA)  --  An effort is underway to help the Vancouver Police Department purchase a new K-9.  Washougal Mayor Sean Guard has launched an effort to raise money to help the police department replace Ike, a K-9 that was stabbed six times by a suspect Tuesday and was later euthanized.  Guard says he hopes the fund drive will give people an indication that something good can come out of an unfortunate circumstance.  Guard, who launched the effort on his Facebook page, is hoping to raise 15-thousand dollars for the cause.
