(Olympia, WA)  --  A hearing is scheduled to take place this week concerning the state's emergency order to temporarily shut down operation of Ride the Ducks of Seattle.  The state Utilities and Transportation Commission issued the order yesterday, following a National Transportation Safety Board report on the Duck vehicle involved in last Thursday's deadly crash on Seattle's Aurora Bridge.  The report said the vehicle's front axle had not had a safety fix that was recommended in 2013 for owners of the World War Two-era amphibious vehicles.  The crash, which remains under investigation, killed five people and injured dozens of others.
