(Portland, OR)  --  Portland's Broadway Bridge is closed to motor vehicles, and will be until October 27th.  Multnomah County officials say an ongoing painting project is making it necessary to close the structure.  The sidewalks will remain open, and the Northwest Lovejoy and Broadway ramps at the west end of the bridge will remain open to traffic.
