(Portland, OR) -- A former strip club could be converted into a round-the-clock shelter for homeless people in Southeast Portland. The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners is considering whether to approve a deal that would loan 300-thousand dollars in taxpayer money to Human Solutions Incorporated to buy the now-closed Black Cauldron on Southeast Stark Street. The plan is for the shelter to be ready in February to house up to 130 people. The Board of Commissioners is scheduled to vote on the proposal today.
