(Portland, OR) -- A plan to convert a former strip club into a homeless shelter will move forward. Multnomah County commissioners have okayed a proposal for Human Solutions Incorporated to receive a 300-thousand-dollar loan from taxpayers to buy the old Black Cauldron club in Portland. The plan is to renovate the building and have the shelter house up to 130 people starting in February. The county will foot the bill for the estimated 397-thousand-dollars in renovations.
