(Silverton, OR)  --  Marion County sheriff's deputies are trying to find out what caused a head-on collision that left a person dead.  Authorities say the driver of a car crashed into an oncoming truck pulling a trailer yesterday on Howell Prairie Road Northeast near Conifer Street Northeast. The driver of the car was killed, and the truck driver was injured.  No names have been released.
