(Portland, OR)  --  One person is dead and another is seriously injured, following a single-vehicle crash in Southeast Portland.  Police say the driver lost control yesterday morning while traveling northbound on McLoughln Boulevard near the Tacoma Street Bridge and slammed into a tree.  The wreck shut down the northbound lanes and backed up traffic for hours.  No names have been released.
